Training:
Successful candidates will undergo a comprehensive Cabin Crew training program, which will commence in the Sky People Training Academy in Manchester in March 2024. The training program will cover all aspects of the role, including safety procedures, customer service, and emergency situations.
Recruitment Assessment Centre:
A recruitment assessment centre will take place on 10th January in the Sky People Training Academy, Manchester. The assessment will include a series of tests and exercises designed to assess your suitability for the role, including a height and reach assessment, tattoo and piercings check and, if successful in passing both assessments, an in-person interview will then take place.
Your Role: As a Cabin Crew Member at Aer Lingus Manchester, you will be the face of our airline, delivering outstanding service and care to our customers. You will be operating on our busy transatlantic and short-haul flights, and you will also fly aboard the most modern aircraft fleet in the world, Airbus!
Your Duties Will Include:
- Safety First: Ensuring the safety and well-being of customers and maintaining the highest safety standards by carrying out your duties in line with company policies/procedures and in accordance with the Aer Lingus Operations Manuals and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional Customer Service: Consistently provide excellent customer service onboard creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for our customers and ensuring we retain and improve on our 4-star Airline Status* Skytrax Awarded
- In-Flight Service: Delivering an excellent duty-free inflight retail experience to our customers, serving meals and beverages and handling special dietary requirements.
- Problem Solving: Handling customer queries, resolving issues, and making every effort to meet and surpass the customers’ needs and preferences.
- Teamwork: Collaborating closely with your fellow Cabin Crew Members and flight crew to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Job Entry Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom without restriction (i.e., UK Passport Holder or Non-UK Citizen holding a valid work permit)
- Applicants must hold a valid UK/ EU passport allowing unrestricted worldwide travel/or equivalent with a minimum of 12 months validity from the start date of the training course.
- Must be able to apply for and obtain relevant US immigration/entry visas* which is a pre-requisite for the role (for travel to/from the United States).
- You must be resident in the UK and have received settled or pre-settled status (for further information visit gov.co.uk)**
- 12 months combined experience in a face-to-face customer service/sales role
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to working shifts, unsociable hours, weekends, holidays and overnights
- You will be required to complete a height and reach assessment based on our aircraft types as part of the recruitment process.
- You must adhere to our uniform policy and guidelines. Tattoos/piercings must NOT be visible whilst in any item of the Aer Lingus uniform
- Able to pass an airport security vetting procedure, including a five-year background check***
- Two verifiable references
*visa costs to be borne by the candidate initially, however, can be reclaimed via expenses following 6 months successful employment.
**Irish citizens are automatically deemed to be settled in the United Kingdom
***If you are a non-UK Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the UK for more than 6 months, you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from those country/countries.
